GEORGIA CERTIFIED SALVAGE INSPECTION STATION
If you have a vehicle that has been deemed a ‘total loss’
and now has a ‘salvage’ title; you are required to have it inspected by
a state certified inspector before you can be issued a ‘rebuilt’ title
and before your vehicle is legal to drive on the roads in Georgia.
When you buy a vehicle with a salvage title; or you
retain ownership of your ‘totaled’ vehicle; there are a few things you
should know about getting your vehicle inspected and legally back on the
The first thing you will need to do is take pictures of
the vehicle before repairs begin; you will need at least 2 pre-repair
pictures. Once you begin repairs, make sure to keep invoices for all
parts replaced on your vehicle. If you have someone else repair
your vehicle, make sure that they do not do any paint work on the
vehicle until after it is inspected.
You will need to fill out the 2 forms listed below from
the Department of Revenue. Click on the links to download the forms
Bring the pictures, invoices, these forms and the vehicle
to our facility for your inspection.
Our offices open at 8 am and Inspections start at 9 am. When we open at
8:00 we will put out numbers for the morning session. When those numbers
are gone, we have a signup sheet for the afternoon session. When that
sheet is full, we are full for the day. We always recommend that you
arrive early to ensure that you get an inspection on that day.
Inspections are done on a first come first served basis. No
